I didn’t realize this was «season I was led to believe that was the whole story told in 6 episodes. For that reason, it’s not enough — it leaves you hanging — and it’s stretched too thin.

Trying to draw it out with strange undercurrents, even as we enjoy spending time with these quirky characters

The casting and production design are brilliant, but it’s like the original Twin Peaks: once the “big crime” is solved, the story is over. I realize I should have drowned this review in syrupy jokes, but maple trees are always sad because they’re so tasty.
