Paddington in Peru is a pretty nice, if unremarkable, film
In Graham Norton I liked: Billy Crystal/Emily Mortimer/Hugh Bonneville/Pharrell Williams/Michael Kiwanuka (2024). It doesn’t quite reach the heights of Paddington 2, of course, but it’s probably on par with the first. With a different director at the helm, this film also takes on a different perspective as it takes the action out of London and places it in the jungles of Peru.
It makes for a fairly interesting story that flows very well and maintains a decent pace
This is probably a wise choice as it helps the film feel fresh and different from the other two. It also leaves room for a slightly different type of story, with this one perhaps being more adventurous and emotional. The humor is a little mediocre, but it’s definitely aimed more at kids, so it reflects my age more than anything else.
It’s kind and gentle
I also think the emotional side is a little lacking. I remember Paddington 2 making me cry, but this one feels a little gentler. In fact, I think that word sums up this movie.
