Teen Babita is left-handed, which is evident from the way she claps during Geeta’s Dangal match. But as she gets older, she becomes right-handed, which is evident in the way she claps during Geeta’s Commonwealth Games. Mahavir Singh Phogat: You have to fight in such a way that people remember you. If you win silver, sooner or later you will be forgotten. If you win gold, you’ll be a role model, And role models are set, kid…
they’re not forgotten
See those girls? If you win tomorrow, you won’t win alone. Millions of girls like them will win with you. It will be a victory for every girl who is considered inferior to boys; who is forced to do housework, who is married just to raise children. Tomorrow’s game is the most important. Because tomorrow we’re going to fight not just that Aussie, but all the people who think less of girls. Mentioned at the 62nd Jio Filmfare Awards (2017). No over-the-top gimmicks
If I had seen this movie in 2016, it would definitely have been on my top movies list. If you go into this movie thinking that Aamir will bend over and show his acting prowess, well, the girls are the highlight of the movie. SCRIPT is a key prop to uncover the story that inspires and that India needs right now. The story is based on reality. The songs fit the premise very well. None of the scenes linger for long. The story had a very natural flow that helped keep the audience engaged for 2 hours and 41 minutes. Even movies like Mary Kom or Bhaag Milkha Bhaag started dragging till the end but drowned Piyush Gupta and Shreyas Jain.
Little nods, grunts, and expressions serve more than explanatory conversation
What I said was that dialogue shouldn’t sound like dialogue unless it’s a musical or a re-imagining of a play. The dialogue in this movie is a lesson in how to use dialogue. I’m not a fan of storytelling and I didn’t really like it here. It was fine for lighthearted scenes, but serious scenes needed silence, but I can skip that. The only scene that felt a little off is when Mahavir is locked in a room before the final fight. If it didn’t happen in reality, it was really unnecessary. DIRECTION – Chillar Party was a film with a serious message but a bit preachy whereas Bhootnath Returns was totally preachy. Nitesh Tiwari has toned down this preaching to a very natural level in this film.
All this did not stop the film
Every topic that happened or is still happening in the family was touched upon. Starting from male sleaze to child marriage to parental sacrifice, everything has been used in favor of the film. There was a lot of comedy in the first half of the film and it easily flowed into the second half. Something that many may overlook is that there are no payback scenes except for the last scene. If the audience peaks before the end, the reward will not have a strong effect if used multiple times. Payback scenes are those scenes where the characters do something in super slow motion to give the audience an orgasm, and the director cleverly used this to pay proper homage to the art and character. .
