Plot Under the Blanket. The third film in the "28 Days Later" franchise.. The sequel was originally titled «28 Months Later», continuing the title theme set by the film’s timeline. However, after so much time had passed since we last returned to this world in 2007 (28 Weeks Later), it was deemed more appropriate to title the film «28 Years Later». 28 Years Later was followed by Part II: Temple of Bones
